Other important information
Telephone: For therapeutic reasons, our clients are on telephone restriction for the first five days of treatment. After that time, public telephones are available for your use when groups are not in session. (Emergency calls may be made during the first five days by special arrangement with counseling staff.) If you give your consent to receive all calls, callers who ask for you will be given the public phone numbers, where they can reach you when scheduled activities are not in progress.
Your address during treatment: You can receive mail at
Mountain Vista Farm
3020 Warm Springs Road
Glen Ellen, CA 95442
Visitors: Visiting is limited to those family and close friends you invite to participate in the Family Program on Sundays. (We encourage you to invite your family to the Family Program on the first Sunday you are with us.) There is no visiting at any other time, though special arrangements may be made with staff under exceptional circumstances. Clients' significant others should not attend AA or NA meetings on campus during your treatment.
Tobacco Use: While we recognize smoking as a serious addiction, tobacco use is allowed in one designated area when activities are not scheduled. Cigarettes may be purchased once weekly when the staff does a "store run" for client articles.
Please let us know if you have other questions about preparing for treatment. Our admissions staff will be happy to talk with you.
